Worship
"A worshiping community recognizes that passionate times of singing God's praise flow from and lead to passionate lives lived for the glory of Jesus Christ.” -Bob KauflinWorship is a Sacrifice of Lips and Life
We believe that worship is much more than songs sung together. We believe that it is more than gathering together in a building every week.
A Sacrifice of Lips
True, Biblical worship involves a sacrifice of words offered to God – both sung and spoken.
A Sacrifice of Life
True, Biblical worship involves the actions of a life doing good – as defined by God – and sharing what we have.
We Believe Worship is a Family Activity
“Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God, the LORD is one. You shall love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your might. And these words that I command you today shall be on your heart. You shall teach them diligently to your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, and when you walk by the way, and when you lie down, and when you rise. You shall bind them as a sign on your hand, and they shall be as frontlets between your eyes. You shall write them on the doorposts of your house and on your gates.”
Deuteronomy 6:4–9
“Through him then let us continually offer up a sacrifice of praise to God, that is, the fruit of lips that acknowledge his name. Do not neglect to do good and to share what you have, for such sacrifices are pleasing to God.”
Hebrews 13:15–16
